While anyone can hope to succeed and become a top direct selling company in India with enough hard work, determination and motivation, many things can hinder your growth or outright put a stop to it. Here are some mistakes that you should try to avoid if you are trying to start a successful direct selling business in India.

Not starting strong

When you start your direct selling company in India, you must start strong! This means having five to six parties or events in your starting month. Most people who do not try to have a good start end up suffering from slow business as time progresses. It is all about the momentum that these initial parties or events give you that decides how your future business goes.

Not asking for appointments

One reason why many people do not achieve success in direct selling is that they are scared to ask people for appointments and meets. They are unwilling to get out of their comfort zone and set up meetings or interactions with potential buyers because they are scared of the rejection.

Do not get me wrong! There will be a lot of rejections! But in order to run a successful direct selling business in India, you should learn to not lose hope and carry on. This also means that you need to have the utmost trust and confidence in your product and company.

Not setting goals

Setting goals is important in any field of life. It is doubly important if your aim is to be one of the top direct selling companies in Asia.

Setting goals means that you know what you want to achieve and have a benchmark to compare yourself with. It is what drives many people to give their best and to dream bigger. Even small goals are ok if you constantly try to smash it and improve yourself.

Lack of commitment and persistence

Yes, direct selling businesses can be run in the comfort of your house and as a part-time means of income. But it does not mean that you can not be committed to it or quit at the first sign of trouble. In fact, many people who quit direct selling do it because they are not willing to invest the time and effort needed to run a successful direct selling business in India.

Direct selling companies need time to improve their network and to get more people into their consumer base. Persistence and hard work are both important if you want your name to be among the top direct selling companies in the country.

Prejudge customers and prospects

In any business, it is bad to prejudge your customers. People can sometimes defy your expectations, and this might cause you to lose out on valuable business and customers.

Not treating your business like a business

One thing that you should keep in mind is that direct selling is a business just like any other. While there is a lot of flexibility when it comes to running a direct selling company in India, you still need to adhere to your work hours and business procedures. You must invest in the necessary infrastructure and supplies before you might end up needing it.

Lack of focus

When you run your own company, it is easy to lose focus and get distracted. It is especially hard for people who only have experience working 5 to 9 jobs.

As a successful direct seller, it is important to balance your work and life. It is easy to get distracted when you are at home and have your family around or chores to do. Be sure to set time aside for all the needs of your family so that you can work without distractions.

Skip training

If you want to succeed in life, you must be willing to learn. Personal growth and development are an important part of being a direct seller and you must be willing to invest time and effort into it.

Neglect business relationships

Ask anyone who has found success in business and they will tell you that the relations they made played an important part in their success. Running a successful direct selling in India means that you make and develop connections that help you grow.

One business relationship that is extremely important for success in direct selling is the one with your upline leader. Having a good relationship with your upline leader is important as they want to see you succeed and can play a major role in your growth.

Depend on friends and family for too long

Most people who begin direct selling start with their friends and family. While it is an effective and easy way to begin your business, you should not depend just on them. It is important to bring in more people into your network and to grow your audience if you want to succeed as a direct selling company in India.
