If you have ever tried to venture into the direct selling business, you must have come face-to-face with many news articles calling out top direct selling companies in the world like Qnet as a scam. There is a lot of misinformation and half-baked stories in circulation that shows a top direct selling company like Qnet. But before you join a direct selling company or call all direct selling a scam, let us talk about the real truth behind these stories.

Difference between a pyramid scheme and multi-level marketing

Qnet is a direct selling network marketing business that works on an MLM or a Multi-Level Marketing model. While all MLMs are direct selling companies, not all direct selling businesses follow the MLM model. MLMs have been around for many years all around the world and are legal in most countries.

Pyramid schemes are illegal and unsustainable business models, where the main source of revenue for the members is to bring in new recruits. The money that recruits pay to join the business is used to pay older members until the whole business model cannot sustain itself.

While Qnet still emphasises building a sales team by bringing in recruits, the objective of this is to improve your network and sell more products. Qnet, like any legitimate MLM, focuses on selling products.

Is Qnet a scam?

I hope that you have understood the difference between a pyramid scheme and a genuine Multi-level marketing company. Now, the big question. Is Qnet a scam? This misconception arises from the lack of understanding about the business’s working and due to misinformation that is being spread accidentally and deliberately.

To succeed in a direct selling business like Qnet, there is no substitution for hard work and dedication. While it is true that many people who join direct selling business think that they can make it big in an instant, the ones that who have actually achieved success as a direct selling entrepreneur with Qnet has done it through years of hard work and dedication. When these people who thought that Qnet direct selling would be their easy way to success realise that they have to put in effort and energy into the business, they resort to slandering the name of the company and the genuine entrepreneurs that work with it.

Social media platforms and advancements in internet technology has only made it easier for such people to express their thoughts and ideas.

How Qnet deals with unethical business operators and business practices

Qnet has strong work ethics and strives to make sure that there is nothing unethical going on its environment. Qnet independent representatives are given strict guidelines and regulations on how they can advertise their business and products. Qnet IRs are not employees of the company but operate as independent business owners who are given a strict guideline on what they can and cannot do.

If you know someone who is misrepresenting a Qnet product or the business, you can send an email to network.integrity@QNET.net to report instance.

I hope that this small piece has helped you to understand why Qnet is not a scam and how many of the news articles and information available on the internet are either blown out of proportions, misinterpreted or just the work of people wishing to ruin the company name.
