The Three Types of Direct Sales
If you have been a regular follower of my page, you would be aware of what direct selling is and how big a proponent I am for it. Not only does it allow people to spark their entrepreneurial, but it also allows them to be financially independent and be their own bosses.
While direct selling companies like Qnet India have become ever popular in the growing Indian market, there are many things that I believe most people do not fully understand about a direct selling business. For instance, did you know that there is more than one type of direct selling?
Types of direct sales
Party Plan
In this style of direct selling, the direct seller sells his products to a group of people that he or she knows. These types of gatherings are called a party. In this style of direct selling, potential customers in the form of friends, family and acquaintances come together at the seller’s house, who is also called the host. Such gatherings are a great means socializing and meeting new people who are also interested in the same products as you.
The purpose of a home party like this is to create an environment of fun and relaxation, with light refreshments and a business presentation by the host. This type of direct selling is a great way of generating sales, teaching others to sell and to attract new recruits into your sales team.
Network Marketing
In the Network Marketing style of direct selling, a company tries to push its consumer goods through a network of distributors who use the products for personal use as well as for sales to others. A network marketing company is more focused on building a network of customers. This means that they will treat you equally if you use your membership in the network as a means of getting discounts on your personal products or to make a profit from its sales.
One of the biggest advantages of such a sales model is that allows the company to grow fast and exponentially as more and more people join the network as recruits. Reputed direct selling companies in India like Qnet utilises this style of sales.
Another advantage of the network marketing model of direct sales is that as it is a network, the success of the company is heavily dependent on the success of its members. This means that everyone helps everyone else in succeeding.
Hybrid
As you have been able to guess, hybrid type direct selling incorporates both Party Plan and Network Marketing techniques to get more sales and profits. Here, an individual organises a party to sell his products to his friends and family but also emphasizes the growth of the network.
No matter what type of direct selling tactics you utilise to grow your direct selling company in India, it is important to keep in mind that your success in the business is dependent on how you grow your network. Using these methods mentioned above, you will be able to run a successful direct selling company.
