It is a struggle when you are a mother and you need to get back to work away from your baby. Women, especially new mothers, go through post-partum depression. It is very difficult for them to go through a process of choosing between their career and witnessing their child’s growth years. These moms go through a lot to manage a home and a career.
These super moms manage everything without a crease on their face. What I want to tell all these women out there is that you are not alone, and there are so many things out there that you can pursue. I am a working mom and it is difficult; I know you, I feel you. Let us dive into some jobs that doesn’t make you choose between your work and your kids.
Let’s take a look on all the jobs you can do from the comfort of your home:
1. Blogging
Blogging is not just personal, it is something you can do professionally as well. I have come across so many new mothers writing about their experience becoming a mother and the struggle of the transition of life without a kid to life with a child. Sharing these experiences online and putting them on a blog is helping a lot of expecting moms. I have read so many blogs when I was expecting. The experiences of these mothers and the idea of how to do and how not to do certain things did really help me put things in perspective.
So, blogging is something that you can do from home and earn money.
2. Direct Selling
Direct selling is a very good option for work from home moms. It does, however, require a little extra effort like meeting people and attending some gatherings etc. As a mother, I think direct selling is one of the better choices as it gives you the liberty of flexible timing, allowing you to be there for your baby and your family when they need you to be.
3. Proof-reader
If you are into books and a bit of a grammar Nazi then proof reading is best for you. You can freelance as a proof reader or join companies that give you the liberty to proof read an article or thesis while you earn from the comfort of your home.
4. Teach Online
You can utilize your time the best by teaching online. You can take up English classes or pair up with some app and upload your teaching lesson videos for students out there. I had helped a few architecture students back when I wasn’t working. All of these small things can earn you money, keep you busy and also help some student out there. What better a feeling than being able to help someone.
5. In Home childcare
You can open a creche. It may require a little investment at the start but after that you can get a lot of children as many parents are always looking for creche facilities. Creche facilities are a good option as you can help your child to grow in a friendly environment that will inculcate values like sharing and helping in them since early childhood.
