Today, we are living through a health crisis the likes of which has never been seen before. And I am not just talking about the global pandemic. While the coronavirus has surely brought the world to a standstill, it has also proved that some of the biggest health issues that we face are due to our lifestyle choices. Studies have shown that COVID19 is most dangerous and fatal for people who have lifestyle diseases like obesity, high blood pressure and diabetes.

The global rate for obesity, diabetes and deaths related to these conditions have skyrocketed in the past few years and is not expected to stop any time soon. Newer and deadlier infective diseases are rising up and the ones that are already known are becoming antibiotic-resistant. Now, more than ever, it has become important to take care of yourself and to remain healthy.

Regular exercise

You do need me to tell you that regular exercise is essential to leave a healthy life. However, the global pandemic has most of us sit at home and abandon our workout routines. It has also reduced the total energy you spend on things that normally you wouldn’t consider as exercise like going to the office, walking home from the grocery shop etc.

It is also been shown that inactivity is a major contributing factor to many of the chronic conditions that lead to the increased severity of the Coronavirus, include diabetes, obesity and cardiovascular issues.

Increased physical activity has been proven to have a bevvy of health benefits. From increased strength, endurance and fat loss, exercise can prevent you from losing muscle and putting on unhealthy weight. Regular exercise also has a lot of positive benefits when it comes to mental health. It has been found to be a mood-regulator and increases the production of dopamine and reduces stress and anxiety. It has also been known to help with depression, something that has affected a large number of people during these harsh times.

Mental health

Like I talked about above, the pandemic has raised concerns over depression and other mental health issues. This may be due to the fear and concern surrounding the disease, the economical and social impact that it might have had on you or due to the seemingly lonely life that some of us are forced into.

Most common mental health issues that have surfaced include anxiety, depression, insomnia, obsessive-compulsive disorder etc. A study in Italy revealed that over 40% of people in Italy have PTSD due to what they went through with the virus.

Supplements

It is becoming more and more to get all the necessary nutrients and minerals from your food. Many of us do not have a balanced diet and even the fruits and nutrients are losing their nutritional value due to bad soil and climate condition. Qnet has a wide range of health supplements and tablets that can help you stay healthy. Their Nutriplus brand of supplements can help prevent bone issues, skin issues, improve physical and mental function and keep you performing at peak health.

Sustainable living

How we live is also having an effect on the world and the organisms that live on the planet. It could be argued that it is only due to humanity appetite for meat that the current virus outbreak happened.

Qnet also has a range of products that you can use to substitute in your daily life. Nutriplus Natose Stevia extracts are way better for health and the environment that normal white sugar. The same is also true for their brand of virgin coconut oil. Simply substituting your daily sugar and oil use them can have a great impact on your health and that of the environment.
